Annual Council Display

Our diocesan Annual Council is Feb. 15-16 at Williamsburg Lodge. We'll be there with the Integrity USA display. This is an important event for us. Volunteers are needed!

Board Elections & Memberships

Board elections will be held at our April meeting. Now is the time to be thinking about who is able/willing to serve. Also, don't forget to renew your Integrity USA membership. We must have at least 10 members in good standing in order to retain our chapter status. Also, to serve on the board you must be an Integrity member.

Dinner with Integrity USA Provincial Coordinators

Integrity USA will hold a Provincial Coordinators conference Feb 8-10 at our diocesan center. They will be having drinks and dinner at MJ’s Tavern on Saturday, Feb. 9 and everyone from the chapter is invited join in and welcome them to our Diocese. This is an opportunity for these folks from across the USA to meet us and learn about our chapter and all the good work we have accomplished. Please mark your calendars and plan to join us.

Love Free or Die Screenings

Love Free or Die is the documentary film about Bishop Gene Robinson.  St. Stephen’s in Norfolk has agreed to host, and we're going to get started planning this event.

Transgender Day of Remembrance

Tuesday, November 20 at 7 p.m

LGBT Center of Hampton Roads

In lieu of our usual monthly dinner at MJ's Tavern, Integrity will take part in the Transgender Day of Remembrance observance at the LGBT Center of Hampton Roads. Please join us on Tuesday, November 20 for this very important event, sponsored by the LGBT Center and ACCESS AIDS, as we take time to memorialize those who were killed due to anti-transgender hatred or prejudice. There will be a candle-lit reading of the victims names and a short reception to follow.

If you would like, you may come to MJ's Tavern before 6:30 p.m. and we will head over to the LGBT Center from there.

ACCESS AIDS fundraising BBQ at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Hampton commemorating World AIDS Day. Funds raised will help support AIDS orphans in Uganda. 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Hampton Roads Men’s Chorus winter concert, 4 p.m. at Eastern Shore Chapel in Virginia Beach. Eastern Shore Chapel is Integrity's host parish and we are very excited to be welcoming the Hampton Roads Men's Chorus.

Integrity hosts a potluck Christmas party in December in lieu of our regular monthly meeting. 6:30 p.m. in the Gunn Conference Center at the diocesan headquarters in Norfolk (600 Talbot Hall Road). Bring a friend and a dish to share! All are welcome!

Highlights from our September meeting at MJ's Tavern

Integrity will help to sponsor the Hampton Roads Men’s Chorus winter concert on Sunday, Dec. 9, 4 p.m., at Eastern Shore Chapel in Virginia Beach. Integrity will pay the building use fee for the concert.

The annual Integrity Christmas party will be held on Tuesday, December 18 at 6:30 p.m. in the Gunn Conference Center at the diocesan headquarters (600 Talbot Hall Road). It will be a potluck.

Bishop’s Days for Parish Leaders will include a workshop on the provisional liturgy for blessing of same gender unions and its use in Southern Virginia. Bishop’s Days are Oct. 20 at Redeemer Episcopal Church in Midlothian and Oct. 27 at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Virginia Beach. Everyone is welcome to register and attend. The workshop will be led by members of the bishop’s Leading a Holy Life Task Force. Click here for more info on Bishop's Days.

Congratulations to board member Susan Pederson who has accepted a call to serve as Integrity USA’s Provincial Coordinator for Province III. Susan’s gifts, her work with our chapter and her experience at General Convention this summer have well equipped her to serve in this capacity.

Integrity will investigate the possibility of holding a screening of “Love Free or Die” – the film about Bishop Gene Robinson. Plans tentatively call for the screening to be held sometime early in 2013. Locations to be considered are the diocesan headquarters and the LGBT Center in Norfolk. Look for more info on this next month.
